Apedroc Stud welcomes gorgeous Baaeed colt

Listed-winner Waldnah, from the close family of Waldgeist, got the day off to a surprising and considerate start on April 18th, by giving birth to a spectacular orange Baaeed colt at 7.15am. Neil had visited Waldnah only 20 minutes earlier, and there was little sign of a new arrival, but we returned from breakfast coffee to find our inquisitve new guest just putting in a speedy appearance. The young chestnut was very quickly to his feet and rapidly located the milk bar, with only the gentlest.  encouragement from Mama. Waldnah's 'mini-me' arrived on the day of the Scottish Grand National, so, inevitably, his stablename is Jimmy. He has taken to galloping about on grass with great enthusiasm which bodes well for his future. He accompanied Mama on her visit to Oasis Dream with great confidence, and Waldnah has since been scanned in foal.
